Here are some recent pictures. Rylynn is two years old now, and hopefully will be starting PreK in May, if you can even believe it. She has got quite the personality- and a very vivid imagination. She is counting to 8 in spanish, and saying various other words in spanish as well, thanks to Dora and Diego, who Rylynn totally loves! We’re still working on potty training- for some reason she just hates to use the toilet- she even hates to have her pull-up changed! I think she’s just being difficult on purpose., IMO. Anyway, vague update I know, but she’s so busy there’s just way too much to add!

 

We have been CRAZY busy with life, and living it! Sorry I haven’t posted any pictures in such along time. I’m going to take some time now and post a few that covers the past few months. Rylynn has got some kind of vocabulary now! She talks all the time. She’s gotten so good at nowing her shapes, she can count to ten (but we always seem to skip 6 for some reason), she knows her colors…she’s just so smart. Sometimes she’s too smart for her own good! Anyway, she’s almost 30 lbs, has got 16 teeth, is appr. 31″ tall (give or take since last measurement)…{sigh}. Time flies. She’s getting close to two years old! I can’t believe it. She’s definitely the best thing that’s ever happened to us. Never have I just wanted to sit and watch/look at something for so long in my life.

 

Easter was fun this year. Rylynn was actually big anough to walk around and hunt eggs pretty much on her own. I bought her three dresses, and she wore all three. One to take pictures with the Easter Bunny in the mall, one to church on Sunday morning, and then another to hunt eggs in. Whew- next year, we only buy ONE!!
She knew what an egg was because of all the decorations I had out two weeks prior to Easter, so every time she would see an egg, she would say “Egg”.

Other words she’s saying include:

bird
granny
Nealon
Remi
Boo-Boo
uh-oh
mama
dada
sydney ((sounds more like “suh”))
outside ((sounds like “si”))

And now she climbs on EVERYTHING! Got to watch her busy butt- she’s fast!

 

Rylynn is one now, and she’s been walking for 3 months or so, so we’ve been outside every chance we get. This little girl LOVES to be outside. She goes to the front door and points outside thru the window and says “Ou” (outside) or “Buh”(bird), even when it’s dark outside. The ’skeeters are so bad tho, and she welps up when she’s bitten.
She is still sleeping all night long, 10 hours or more, so we’re thankful for that! She is super loving and wants to give everybody a kiss (or 2, or 3)! She can say mama, dada, papa, Josh, g-anny, boo-boo (moms dog), bird, egg, Remi (joshs dog), Nealon (she says  “Ne”, and also just a whole lots of jibber jabbers. She is gonna be a talker, thats for sure!
She can also point to green, red and blue, and copies everything she sees…and I do mean everything! She is the smartest little girl!

She had to get 3 shots after her birthday and a prick on the finger, and tho she did cry, she was fine before we even left the parking lot. We are so proud of her in so many ways, and just don’t think we could ever love anything else as much!

 

Rylynn had a great time at her birthday party. She was busy busy, and it took her about 3 nights before she had caught up on her sleep and was rested, but it was SO worth it all! We made some great memories!

 

So Rylynn will be one year old in 19 days! We can’t believe it! People always said how fast they grow up, but I thought it was just something people said. Now I know what they mean. She’s been walking for almost 2 1/2 months. She copies pretty much everything anybody does. She tries to comb her hair, drink out of the regular cup, put hairbow in her “hair”, headbands on her head, and so much more! She’s got 7 teeth all the way in, and I think there’s molars coming in, so we’re all a bit cranky lately. Road trip to Valdosta this past weekend was all kinds of trouble, which ended with her vomiting everywhere when we were 10 minutes from home. She fights sleep so bad, and she just cries and cries. She is a BUSY child. She certainly knows what she wants! As of right now, Matt and I decided we don’t want anymore kids. Not until the Lord changes something!
But thats okay- she’ll get all our lovin to herself!

So I wanted to post some recent pictures of Rylynn and give a little update on her progress. She’s gotten both teeth in on the bottom, one has come in on the top, and I do believe we have another top one trying to cut thru. She’s not walking yet, but more and more she is letting go of tables and chairs and standing up all on her own. Now all she’s got to do is take a step!
She’s gotten much more vocal lately also. She squeals at me, I squeal at her, she squeals back. I clap, she claps. I sing, she sings. So she copies my every move. She’s learned how to wave bye-bye, and when she’s in the mood, will even “dance” for us. Our little girl has grown up ALOT in the past month. It’s amazing. Her next dr. appt is in a week (I think), so we’ll see how much she weighs and everything. Per our scales, shes around 19 lbs.

Big girl- she LOVES to eat our food. She’s just like Oscar used to be. If you have a plate, get ready, cause she’s making the beeline for ya!
